350 kW per stall, 12 stalls per site, and a pull-through layout that doesn't require unhitching a trailer. That's the headline spec from EVgo and GM's new flagship site in Warren, Michigan, which Electrek reports opened this week at a Meijer location across from GM's Global Technical Center.

Hardware Configuration

The Warren site runs 350-kW DC fast chargers with both CCS and NACS connectors. Full-session time is rated at 15 minutes in optimal conditions, though peak charge rate only holds while the pack's state of charge and thermal envelope allow it. The pull-through geometry is the real engineering differentiator: it keeps towing EVs on the menu without forcing a disconnect. There are no 800-V-class vehicles in GM's current lineup that can pull the full 350 kW headroom, so the station is overbuilt for today's GM portfolio. That's a forward-looking bet, not a present-day efficiency story.

Rollout Math

Warren opens with the flagship program now past 40 operating stalls nationwide. EVgo's stated target is 100+ flagship stalls online by end of 2026, with sites planned across California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, and Texas. Flagship sites average up to 20 stalls each. The broader EVgo-plus-GM buildout has delivered nearly 2,400 stalls across 32 states, with a separate 1,300-stall network at 300 Pilot and Flying J locations across 40 states also in service. Michigan's registered EV count grew sixfold between 2021 and 2025, per Experian data cited by EVgo.

Verdict

A site built around 350-kW peak charge rate and trailer-friendly geometry is a real upgrade over the 150-kW class that dominates suburban installs. The question is utilization: how many drivers actually tow to a fast-charge stop, and how many sessions can sustain close-to-peak wattage before thermal throttling cuts throughput. For now, the station is infrastructure for a future use case, not today's bottleneck.
